Very well made box with high end MDF. Cutout size was accurate at 9.15 needed to be trimmed with a jigsaw and some sandpaper. This is very common as cutout diameters vary. Bedliner coating high end as well. Perfectly sealed which can be an issue with cheaper boxes. Fit under seat was perfectly hidden. I would highly highly suggest using a single 10 inch sub and a passive radiator,
I got mine from partsexpress $110 Dayton 10 inch passive radiator. I started with two Sundown SD-4’s which are phenomenal with added polyfil in box to help a tad bit with the low end. The subs each getting .5 cubes is okay but the low end suffers especially in the Santa Cruz which is a low end bass trap….roll your windows down and you gain about 6 decibels especially around 30-35 hz. The passive radiator fills in that lower end that sealed boxes can’t do in the Santa Cruz, put the foxbox with dual Sundown SD4’s in my Sequoia and no issues it has to do with cabin size etc. The passive radiator acts like a port and exaggerates the low end filling that gap. It gets just as loud as two subs but cheaper and less amp power. The other option which I built is a ported box dual 8’s tuned to 32hz. I have a Fosgste Power t-400 bridged class a/b giving the sub around 500-600 watts. It sounds phenomenal and I experiment relentlessly with amps and subs and boxes. Get this a box it’s great and get a passive radiator you can tune it by adding heavy washers that come with it. More washers and weight lowers the tuning…I have 3 of the 6 I think tuned around 30hz. Too many washers it missed the punch and to few missed the low end. Great box Fox!
